Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Loopcast ("we", "us") operates loopcast.cloud, a service that loops your uploaded videos as a continuous 24/7 live stream on your own YouTube channel. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
2. Information we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. If you connect your YouTube account, we additionally receive your channel name and the access needed to create and manage a live broadcast on your behalf (see Section 4). We also store the videos you upload, your YouTube stream key (if you enter one manually), and basic usage data such as stream status and timestamps. If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment — we never see or store your card details. If you sign up using another user's referral link, we store which account referred you, used only to apply the referral discount and reward described in our Terms of Service. See Section 3 for the advertising and analytics tools we also use.
3. Advertising and analytics
We use a small number of third-party tools to understand how people find Loopcast and whether our advertising is working:
Google Analytics — aggregate site usage (pages visited, general traffic patterns). Not linked to your video or stream content.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel and Conversions API — when you visit the site or complete a paid subscription, we may send Meta a cryptographically hashed (never plain-text) version of your email address, along with your IP address and browser user-agent, so Meta can measure whether its ads led to a subscription. This is used only for ad measurement, never for anything else, and is governed on Meta's side by the Meta Privacy Policy. You can limit this through Meta's own ad preferences or a browser ad blocker.
4. Google user data and the YouTube API Services
Loopcast uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your YouTube account, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Loopcast's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can find Google's own privacy practices at the Google Privacy Policy.
Specifically, if you connect your YouTube account, Loopcast requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube scope so it can create a live broadcast and live stream on your channel and start or stop it on your instruction, instead of requiring you to copy an RTMP stream key from YouTube Studio by hand. We only ever act on the broadcasts we create for your own connected channel — we never read, modify, or access any other channel's data, and we never use this access for advertising or sell it to third parties.
You can revoke Loopcast's access to your Google/YouTube data at any time from your dashboard, or directly from the Google Account permissions page. Revoking access doesn't delete data we've already stored — see Section 9 for how to delete your account and data entirely.
How we protect this data: your YouTube OAuth refresh token is stored in a server-only database record that no client application, including our own dashboard, can ever read directly — only our backend server code can access it, and only to make the specific YouTube API calls needed to run your stream. All data in transit between your browser, our servers, and Google's APIs is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), and all data at rest in our database is encrypted by our cloud provider's storage layer. Access to production data is restricted to a small number of authorized administrators for support and abuse-prevention purposes only.
How long we keep this data: your YouTube channel identity and OAuth refresh token are retained only for as long as your YouTube connection stays active. The moment you disconnect YouTube — from your dashboard or from the Google Account permissions page — we immediately revoke the token with Google and permanently delete it from our database; nothing lingers afterward. If you delete your Loopcast account entirely, every trace of your Google/YouTube data (token, channel identity, and any cached channel info) is deleted at the same time as the rest of your account data, described in Section 9.
5. How we use your information
We use your data to operate your account and streams, to bill your subscription, to send you account-related emails (welcome, receipts, payment failures, stream-down alerts), and to provide support when you ask for it. We don't sell your data, and we don't use your videos or channel access for anything beyond running your own stream. We store your videos on your behalf and don't review or monitor their content — the only processing they undergo is automated (e.g. transcoding your upload into the format used for streaming), not manual review by anyone on our team.
6. Where it's stored
Firebase (Google Cloud) hosts your account data and video files. Stripe handles payment processing. Resend delivers transactional email on our behalf. Meta receives the limited advertising data described in Section 3. All of these providers only receive the minimum data needed to perform their function for your account.
7. Your stream key and YouTube access
A manually-entered stream key or a connected YouTube account is a credential to your own channel. It's stored so the service can operate your stream, restricted so only you (and, for emergency moderation, an administrator's status-only access) can reach it, and never shared with anyone else.
8. Account activity log
For support and abuse-prevention purposes, we keep a log of key account actions — signups, video uploads and deletions, stream starts and stops, trial starts, subscription changes, and support requests — visible only to a small number of authorized administrators. This log is never used for advertising or shared outside Loopcast, and is retained for up to 180 days (see Section 10).
9. Deleting your data
You can disconnect your YouTube account at any time from your dashboard, which revokes our access immediately. To delete your account, videos, and stream data entirely, use the Delete account option in Settings — this also immediately cancels any active subscription (see our Terms of Service) and is permanent and can't be undone.
10. Data retention
Beyond what's described elsewhere in this policy: the account activity log (Section 8) is kept for up to 180 days. The original file you upload is deleted 3 days after it finishes processing — only the converted, stream-ready copy is kept after that. A free account with no activity for 90 or more days gets a warning email; if nothing changes within 7 days, its videos and storage are deleted (the same applies if a paid plan cancels or downgrades and the account is left over the free storage limit). Deleting your account entirely (Section 9) removes all of the above immediately, rather than waiting out these normal timelines.
11. Children's privacy
Loopcast is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
